Great news everyone!!!! If you have been catching every year's Dream Concert, you will be especially thrilled this year cause.......

IU's hairstyle becomes a hot topic

IU's cute apple hairstyle became a hot issue after her appearance on the KBS programme 'Happy Together 3' broadcasted on April 7th.

On the broadcast, IU's pretty smile and apple hairstyle, created by tying her fringe up with a hair elastic, brought out her cute charm.

Some responses from netizens who saw the photo were, "How can a high school student in her 3rd year be this cute?", "Is there anything she does that isn't cute?" and "Tying her hair up like that, she looks just like a kid."

On the same broadcast, IU was doused with water three times, in front of an amused audience, and made remarks about being unsatisfied with her looks.

IU guested on MBC’s “Radio Star” and surprised viewers a witty cover of a pop song classic.

End goal of Kiss and Cry is Ice Show in August

Having confirmed IU, Yunho, f(x)’s Krystal, Lee Ahyun, Son Dambi, Park Junkeum, Seo Jisuk and Cho Donghyuk as the cast for the new upcoming SBS variety program ‘Kiss and Cry’, it has also been revealed that the end goal of the series is the national Ice Show that is set for this upcoming August.

Yangpa is the same as IU?

With Yangpa taking over the music industry after 4 years since her last album, she is being called IU of the 90s. And indeed, when compared, the two of them have a lot in common.

IU didn't earn US$6M in the first quarter

Many people must have went "WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT? IMPOSSIBLE" but ya its the truth

Reports revealed that IU had brought in $6 million USD in digital sales revenue for just the first quarter of 2011 alone, the highest amongst other Korean singers.

Starting in December with “Good Day“, she propelled her popularity into 2011 and made consecutive hits with “The Story Only I Didn’t Know“, “Cruel Fairy Tale“, and Dream High’s OST “Someday“.

However, IU’s agency Loen Entertainment has revealed that the reports are unconfirmed.

Through a phone call with SPN, they revealed, “Our distributors have not balanced their accounts for the quarter yet, so we aren’t sure of the exact amounts. Reports claiming $6 million USD are exaggerated, and are most likely a prediction of everything that has yet to be balanced  from last year.”

UNIONBAY spokesmodels IU and Seo In Kook recently posed for the brand’s summer catalogue.

Star photographer Kim Hyun Sung led the photoshoot, and its said that both singers showcased perfect synchronization, impressing all the staff members.(Of course, its IU what do you expect? heehee) In fact, the bold singer and rising teen star are reportedly fairly close, as they support and cheer each other on during their respective album promotions.(another IU scandal?)

Their bright friendship can be seen through the fashion catalogue, thanks to the bright smiles and energetic poses. IU and Seon In Kook donned various looks for the shoot, including the ’striped marine look’ and the ‘vivid casual look’.

2011 Tokyo Korean Music Wave Charity Concert

Yes! I think you know what I am about to say. IU will be involved in another charity concert! sob so kind hearted sobz sobz

Sixteen of the most popular idols and groups will gather together for a charity concert in May. The Tokyo Legend 2011 Korean Music Wave Live in Tokyo will be co-hosted by MBC and Show! Music Core, Fuji TV, and Avex Entertainment to commemorate the 50th anniversary of MBC, one of the three largest TV networks in Korea. The performers for this concert include: TVXQ, 2PM, SHINee, BEAST, MBLAQ, FT Island, 2AM, Choinsung(Supernova), SG WANNABE, f(x), 4Minute, Miss A, Secret, IU, SISTAR, and ZE:A.
