IU has been appointed as the honorary ambassador for EXPO 2012 Yeosu Korea.

On May 6th, the organising committee for EXPO 2012 Yeosu Korea expressed that they would be carrying out the appointment ceremony on May 9th at the Hyundai Building.

During this event, IU is scheduled to present the logo song she sang for this EXPO, "Memories of the Sea" (Composed by Yoon Sang with lyrics written by Park Chang Hak). During the appointment ceremony, the composer of this logo song, Yoon Sang, will also be attending the event to share about the production process behind his composition.

Kim Yuna wanted IU

Kim Jae Hyuk, PD of 'Kim Yuna's Kiss and Cry' which will be broadcasted starting from May 22nd, revealed his reason for casting IU on the show. Through a phone conversation with '10Asia', Kim Jae Hyuk PD said, "Yuna has always liked IU. Even when I first started discussing the show with her, she told me it would be great if she could be on the show with IU. On hearing that, I assumed that the response from IU's side would be good. Furthermore, since IU is the current trend, as long as it is alright with IU's side, there would be no reason for me to refuse."

On this week’s episode of “Section TV Entertainment“, actor Song Joong Ki and singer IU enjoyed a sweet date together in front of the cameras for an adorable interview with the show.

IU, who had previously listed Song Joong Ki as one of her many ideal men, showed off her shy character throughout the shoot by covering her eyes and blushing every time he called her by her real name.

After finding out that Song Joong Ki’s former dream actually used to be to become a PD, producers of the show handed him a mic and gave him the opportunity to be a reporter for the day. His first topic of business? He immediately turned to IU and asked, “Why does your ideal man change so much?”
