Dream High Concert in Japan!

Yup, as the title said. Dream High is going to the land of the rising sun!

Japan is in love with KBS2TV’s ’Dream High‘, and it’s inspired the cast to come together once more for a concert in Japan!

The drama was previously aired through Japanese network DATV, but because it’s garnered such a positive response from viewers, the network decided to airing re-runs of the episodes.

DATV and AVEX have decided to host the Dream High concert at Saitama Super Arena on September 4th. The event will see appearances from Bae Yong Joon, J.Y. Park, and the rest of the cast.

An official stated, “This is the first time in about nine months that Bae Yong Joon will be meeting with his fans. We are already receiving inquiries about the concert tickets, and people are expressing a great deal of interest about the concert.”

Dream High OST Jap version to be released

Following the high popularity of the drama ever since it was broadcasted on Japan's DATV, the 'Dream High Original Soundtrack Japanese Premium Edition' will be released on July 27th.

Not only will the original songs used in the drama be included, many of the Japanese versions of the songs will also be included in this soundtrack.

The city of Goyang in Gyeonggi-do expressed on April 28th that they will open up the filming site of Kirin Arts High School, which was featured in the KBS2TV drama "Dream High", to the general public.

Looks like the Dream High producers are really trying to tug our wallets. First was the OST CD, then the DVD set. After that, there was the Dream High Special Making Book. When we thought it was all over, here comes the DREAM HIGH COMIC BOOK! oww my poor bank account

On March 30th, the first volume of the ‘Dream High’ comic book will be released, and this volume tells the story of country boy Song Sam Dong (played by Kim Soo Hyun) and Go Hye Mi’s (played by missA’s Suzy) first meeting to their Kirin Arts School audition to Jason (played by 2PM’s Wooyoung) replacing Jin Guk (played by 2PM’s Taecyeon) in the fake showcase.

Dream High Season 2

This news will delight Dream High fans =)

KBS has finally confirmed that their popular teenage drama series, “Dream High“, will get a second season!

On March 17th, a representative from KBS spoke through TV Report and revealed, “We will be producing a second season for ‘Dream High’, and it will feature stories about the youth generation. This has been in discussion since the conclusion of season one.”

He continued, “Whether we’ll be casting rookie idols like ‘Dream High’ and ‘Jungle Fish,’, or whether we’ll be going through an audition process is still up for discussion. There’s a high probability that the season will begin airing in January of 2012, just in time for winter break.”


So what might change for “Dream High Season 2″? The representative did not reveal much, but said, “The original format of ‘Dream High’ was great, so we’re planning to carry it over.”

Remember the IU kindergarten scene on the last episode of 'Dream High'?'? Well something happened to it...

IU to continue acting career

After concluding her drama debuts through KBS’s “Dream High“, IU have expressed that she will continue to pursue her passion for acting in conjunction with her singing career.

Representatives from Loen Entertainment expressed, “It was IU’s first time acting, and she had a lot of fun with it.  It wasn’t just industry representatives who gave her positive reviews, but viewers as well, which helped her positively in energizing her passion for acting. Ever since she’s appeared in ‘Dream High,’ we’ve been receiving nonstop offers from various dramas and movies.  If we see a good one, we’ll definitely consider it.”  

Really hope she would continue acting as I really loved the Pilsuk character in which she took. But still, her singing still comes above that. =)
